organization and it’s members held up to scorn, ridicule and contempt. DHA was the only legal impediment to his headlong rush to “glory”. By trademarking the words “Clan MacTavish” and all that it entails, by deceit - he claims
victory. The prohibitive cost of a trademark attorney, who could easily prove the registrations contained falsified ‘first use dates’ and originator information as provided by Steven MacTavish, prevents DHA from obtaining justice. None of the other clans (and there are many with organizations which don’t see eye-to-eye) has done anything this outrageously childish. “I want my toys and no one else can have them – I am “king.”
But you know, we are done having anything to do with him, his minions and “his” clan. They are tarring themselves with their lies and posturing and we don’t want to be mistakenly linked to them, their organization, or their ‘king.’ We overcame the tarnished image, and the enemies created by Dugald – even his embezzlement, but there is no pardon or rehabilitation for Steven, his actions, and those of his associates.
A clan chief willing to sink to the actions Steven MacTavish has taken for ego and ‘power’, shows the downside to a hereditary chiefly line when that line is tainted as severely as this one. This man deserves no respect, no membership in the Standing Council of Scottish Chiefs, and should be investigated by the new Lord Lyon for removal as clan chiefs can be removed if they prove themselves to be base men totally lacking in integrity, honesty, etc. Well, here is a prime example of one. The Scottish community should, in mass, shun this man and all he represents as unworthy of his position.
Oh, and by the way, we had already decided months ago (by a 100% YES vote of the members and directors) that we were severing our relations with Clan MacTavish and it’s chief, his wife, his gophers or his organization. This was before he did most of his trademarking….so he wasted CMUs money for nothing. It’s sad, he seems to imagine “conspiracy theories“ everywhere. Really, no one was against him – then.

The only people complicit and culpable in lies, thefts, innuendos, unsubstantiated charges, character assassination, misrepresentations, etc. are Steven and Leslie MacTavish and the “trusted” individuals closely allied to them. The old adages “birds of a feather” … and “the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree” definitely come to mind.
